i love my husband. i do. i really do.
and he must really love and believe in me…so much so that he’s confident that i can throw together a party for 40 people in under two weeks….well actually, one week, as we’re out of town for nearly a week.
oh, and did i mention i’m working on two busy client projects?
and trying to get in as much snuggling and wrestling time with these two precious nuggets.
don’t tell my husband, because he already knows, but i’m so super excited about this party! so i’m going to write about it. why not? sleep is over-rated.
here are the plans:
- fun, casual, mexican fiesta
- taco stand serving up hot, fresh beef, chicken and carnitas tacos, rice and beans
- gourmet appetizers by my friend Heidi Ristau
- yummy mini quesadillas with brie and mango salsa
- delicious shrimp ceviche over nachos
- some yet-to-be-determined veggie option for the non-meat eaters
- lemon tartlets for dessert
- outdoor seating with brightly colored table cloths, mason jar candle lanterns, and gerber daisies arranged in mason jars.
- margaritas served in mason jars. am i obsessed with mason jars, or what?!
here are my inspiration pix:
here’s a glimpse of the paperless post that was sent…don’t you love technology?
Sounds wonderful
You can whip it out..I believe in you! Beautiful candle ideas.. I might copy you.. I love your creativity!
I love gerber daisies! They are my absolute favorite flowers!
By the way, I’m sure you can do it 🙂 wonder woman
Thanks ladies! You should see the office…filled with mason jars, unwoven burlap coffee sacks, and wire. Just waiting on the votives…will post pics tomorrow if possible!
where was my paperless post invite?? Don’t forget, nothing says Mexican fiesta like a mariachi band!
WOMAN! a mariachi band would be epic, but our budget only allows for an iPod version of mariachi. does that count? 🙂 miss you, girl!!!!
