i just love the old wooden crates.  why do i love the old distressed wood look so much?

i have no idea what these are, but they’re so cute.  they’re from a tree in our back yard.  Big A calls them popims (pumpkins)…so i will, too.

the front pilasters are arched with little lights that point down.  i figured it would make it easier for guests to find our house.

gotta get this table ready for Thanksgiving!  i never have figured out how to clean this table.

i wonder if laura ingalls ever cleaned hers?

    • you’re too complimentary! canon 60d. the last picture isn’t a hack, but was a restoration hardware knock off that our designer, Erica Bryen, had made for us. was 1/3 the price (at least) and is awesome!
