My husband as Mary Poppins
So Cal storm steals umbrella I present to you exhibit A. This is what’s left after gale force winds left just the handle of an umbrella in my husband’s hands. He was leaving the office without his bag (aka. murse, aka man purse) because, well, why would anyone want to carry a murse? Imagine a […]
When your 2 year old knows more states than you…
Lil G has an addiction…to his U.S. wood puzzle game. Call gamers anonymous. Melissa and Doug USA puzzle board Melissa and Doug USA puzzle board His favorite state is Ohio. Prob because Husband, his Daddy, loves the Cincinnatti Reds. Or maybe not. Last night, after 10 rounds of puzzle play, we got to the last […]
my 2nd pregnancy
this pregnancy seems a bit different than the first. while i’ve been blessed this time around (again) to never feel sick…except for that dreadful time on the plane when husband was eating a quarter pounder…yes, i made him duck his head as low to the ground as possible! but i digress… i just feel BIGGER, […]
bribing big brother when baby brother arrives
we’ve been preparing lil G for #2 for quite some time. an early sign that this 2.5 year old wasn’t quite ready for his new role as big brother came when he was slapping at my stomach and saying ‘no!’ that was 5 months ago. advice from friends with 3 and 4 packs have been […]
li’l G’s first year
Where has the year gone!?!? Grayson will be a year old in just a month. It’s been an incredible year and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed being parents. We’ve learned so much and are humbled each day with this little nugget of ours. My favorite part of the day is going in to get Grayson […]

lil G discusses his first 3 months of life
this has been a monumental month for me. i’ve learned a lot of things, including smiling, laughing, focusing intently on objects, successfully grabbing at toys with both left and right hands, and smiling at everyone who smiles at me. just before Thanksgiving, i surprised mommy and daddy by sleeping 12-14 hours a night without waking […]
big ears on a little guy
we attend rock harbor, a church that has hip Christian rock music…very loud. i found these ear protectors online. i eagerly awaited their arrival as we’ve been wanting to get back to church, but aren’t ready to put him in the daycare there. too small! they arrived on halloween. i couldn’t put them around […]
Routine makes for a happy baby
Thank the good Lord that lil G is now sleeping 8+ hours at night now. He loves his bath time and then tucks right into bed after a few songs (some worship, some made up) sung poorly by Mommy and Daddy. We found that routine makes all the difference. The three Bs :: Bath, bottle, […]
thank God for Ahma!
My Mom has been such a blessing. She comes down a few nights a week and helps with lil G. I’m not sure how I’d survive this transition without her. She loves on lil G so much and is so attentive…maybe too attentive. 🙂 Thank God for Ahma!
li’l G is here!
lil G’s arrival has been wonderful! we’ve gotten little sleep, but are learning the ropes and have great help from ahma (taiwanese for grandma). we’ve somehow managed to get through my hormonal meltdowns, hunger pains, and sleep deprivation. we are vigilant about the “chart” that i created in excel to document every feeding, diaper […]
